I think this is a great article for teachers at all levels. Even though it's geared for a younger classroom, the applicability to all levels of classroom management is well-stated. I've always thought that keeping a positive rapport with students has kept situations from spiraling out of control as they seek to gain the acceptance of the teacher and do not want to disappoint.
